Cologne

Location: Cologne, Germany

This is a short post, because we spent most of Monday relaxing at our hotel in Dusseldorf. We had a late flight leaving from Cologne/Bonn airport. Cologne is very close to Dusseldorf; only about 40 minutes by train. So we took a train to the main train station of Cologne.

As soon as we got outside the train station, we were in full view of the Dom, which is one of the largest churches in the world. Construction started in the 1200's, and took over 600 years to complete! We walked around inside for a little bit; the architecture and size of the Dom was very impressive:

After hanging out in the area for a while, we took a train over to Cologne/Bonn airport. Our flight to Istanbul got in at 2:40am local time, and we took a cab to our hotel.
