This is a short post, because we spent most of Monday relaxing at our hotel in Dusseldorf. We had a late flight leaving from Cologne/Bonn airport. Cologne is very close to Dusseldorf; only about 40 minutes by train. So we took a train to the main train station of Cologne.
As soon as we got outside the train station, we were in full view of the Dom, which is one of the largest churches in the world. Construction started in the 1200's, and took over 600 years to complete! We walked around inside for a little bit; the architecture and size of the Dom was very impressive:
